Nobody Contracted Anybody To Kill 'Countryman Songo'

A Sports broadcaster which in Ghana is referred to as a Sports Presenter by name Patrick Osei Agyemang, popularly known as 'Countryman Songo' is said to have become an assassination target of two Ghana FA officials, George Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called 'Blue Blue' in this bizarre allegation based solely on a Taxi Drivers claim. The question that popped up in my brain when I read this story which a lot of people might be asking themselves too is WHY WOULD THE TWO GENTLEMEN WANT THIS WEED HEAD 'Countryman Songo' to be "ghosted"?

According to this Countryman Songo, he has no personal animus against the two and therefore this came as a surprise to him but he attributes that to maybe his constant bribery allegations against their Boss, GFA President, `Kwesi Nyantakyi.

How did this come about? A taxi driver is reported to have told the Nima police that he overheard two guys saying in a taxi conversation that Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called 'Blue Blue' have contracted them to kill the controversial radio presenter who is an arch critic of the GFA.

I have listened to this Countryman Songo guy on his popular program, 'Fire for fire' and know he is not the sharpest knife in the drawer but this botched attempt to seek sympathy from the public in his impending trial for defamation suit brought by the GFA President against him is even beneath him. This concocted or planned story by Countryman Songo and his paymasters is too juvenile even a freshman High School student in USA could have done a better job.

Folks, let's examine the Taxi Drivers story and see if his story makes any sense.

According to the Taxi Driver, he overheard the two guys saying Afriyie and Kofi Manu, popularly called 'Blue Blue' have contracted them to kill the controversial radio presenter who is an arch critic of the GFA.

First, let's look at the word "CONTRACTED". These two guys, let's even assume there was actually two guys in his Taxi will start talking about this criminal enterprise in a car. How did this conversation go?

Passenger One(P1) to Passenger two(P2)

(P1) You know we are going to kill Countryman Songo for a lot of money?

(P2)Really? We are going to get paid for ghosting that weed head?

(P1)Yes, Mr Afriyie and Kofi Blue Blue told us we are going to get paid if we can send that weed head to join the silent majority?

(P2)Damn!!!, I didn't know that?

As Passenger two exclaimed in his last response, why would the two engage in this conversation in a taxi as if one of them is not aware of the plot already. Why will they mention the two gentlemen' name and talk about being contracted? Was passenger two not aware they are contracted? The Police at Nima should have arrested the Taxi Driver and put him under intense interrogation and he would have crumbled and spill the beans as who put him up to come and tell that tall tale.

No normal criminals will hold a planned criminal activity in a Taxi with a strange Taxi driver within earshot. The fact is that, this is an event concocted in the head of a paid Taxi Driver that did not take place. I will call the two passengers ghost passengers that exist in the head of a paid Taxi driver.

As human beings, we all have common sense, at least, most of us have common sense to know that such conversations are conducted in secrecy and not infront of strangers and this Taxi Driver should be investigated to find out if he has any prior contact with Countryman Songo or people associated with Countryman Songo because this is a diversionary tactic employed by Countryman Songo and his Paymasters to counter and seek public sympathy for the impending defamation suit brought against him which is about to be adjudicated in court.

Why will this Taxi Driver drop these two passengers off at Abeka instead of driving them to the nearby Police station and leaving all the police stations in Abeka, Tesano and Alajo and travelled all the way to the Nima police station to report the matter?

This is really strange and sad even the so called Captain Smart who think he is the smartest person on Radio interviewed this guy on his Morning program and intoned about his own spiritual powers through prayers that can bring calamity onto anybody who plots against him. The celebrity nonsense has gone into the heads of these ready to hire Journalists who are available for the right price to parrot the nonsense of their paid masters.
