Kumasi, Aug 24, GNA - Sempe-Timpon Norchip beat West Ham 1-0 in their 13th Week Division One League clash played at Sempe-Timpon in Kumasi on Sunday.
The only goal of the match was scored by Abubakar Swalla in the 55th minute after he had missed a penalty kick awarded his side in the 52nd minute.
West Ham mounted severe pressure on Norchip in search of the equalizer but good goalkeeping by veteran Abubakar Kankani saved the situation until referee David Arthur brought proceedings to an end.
At the Asem Park in Kumasi, Cornerstone spanked Soccer Wise 2-0 with goals scored by Kofi Daniels and Kobby in the 18th and 60th minutes respectively.
Other results are Tarkwa United also trounced Kumasi Kaaseman FC 2-0, Tarkwa Gold Stars beat Prestea Mine Stars 2-1 and at Sunyani, Brong Ahafo United drew 2-2 with Tano Bofoakwa in a local derby.
