The Normalization Committee has shifted focus to organise a Special Competition for Lower divisions and Women's football, following the cancellation of the Special Competition for Premier League and Division One clubs.

The four-member committee chaired by Dr.Kofi Amoah on Monday released a statement over the cancellation of the Special Competition which was due to commence on Sunday, 17 February at various match venues.

Following the failure of the Committee to stand firm for the competition which was set to decide next year's Africa inter-club participant, they have shifted the focus to the 48 divisional clubs and women's teams in Ghana to keep them busy and revive the game once again from the lower side.

"We will come up with a program for the Division one clubs and women football". All the 48 Division one clubs confirmed their participation", Spokesperson for the Committee Dan Kwaku Yeboah revealed.

Dr.Kofi Amoah led administration proposed the competition but had it's kickoff date postponed severally. The club dragged the Committee to make known the amount of money involved in the competition which was supposedly sponsored by the government.
