Northern Region FA chief Alhassan Abdulai takes over Bolga All Stars

The hopes of Bolga residence of watching Premier League football could still be dashed despite Nana Ameyaw's failure to takeover the club following development that Northern Regional Football Association chairman Alhassan Abdulai has taken over the club on temporary basis.

Abdulai, who is also the CEO of Tamale Utrecht Football Academy, is believed to be one of the key reasons why Nana Ameyaw failed in his bid to takeover the club from the owners in Bolga and relocate to Techiman.

Reports are that Abdulai gazumped the Techiman takeover insisting it will be embarrassing to lose a prestigious Premier League club in the northern part of the country once again.

As an activist of youth development, Abdulai, the youngest ExCo member of the Ghana FA, believes All Stars' stay in the North will encourage and motivate footballers to continue their pursuit of their dreams.

He urged his northern brothers who are stakeholders to come on board as they bid to make the team their own.

Bolga All Stars made history after beating off competition from giants killers in Zone One of the GN Bank Division One League, to qualify into the top tie of Ghana football last year.

But after playing just 5 games into the season the club was earmarked for sale due to financial difficulties.

The side have been playing their home matches at the Utrecht Park already with hopes of returning to Bolga in the second round but the temporal takeover by Abdulai could see them ending the Premier League season in Tamale.
