Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah
Norwich City are on the verge of signing Ghanaian midfielder Forson Amankwah from Austrian side RB Salzburg.
The Canaries have been actively seeking a replacement for Gabriel Sala, who recently joined Galatasaray, and have identified Amankwah as a suitable candidate.
The 21-year-old has impressed during his time at Salzburg, gaining valuable experience through loan spells at Liefering and Rheindorf Altach.
New Norwich manager Johannes Hoff Thorup, who has a history of working with young Ghanaian players, is particularly keen on Amankwah.
The midfielder's versatility and potential to develop further have made him an attractive prospect for the English club.
Several other clubs expressed interest in Amankwah, but Norwich's offer of first-team opportunities proved decisive.
