Ghana Premier League team Nsoatreman FC has secured the signing of talented defender Emmanuel Ankrah during the current transfer window.
The highly-rated center-back has joined on a three-year contract from Bofoakwa Tano, who were relegated from the top-flight last season.
Ankrah was a sought-after player for several Ghana Premier League clubs due to his impressive performance in the recently concluded season.
The 19-year-old was on the radar of Kotoko and league newcomers Young Apostles, but he chose to join Nsoatreman FC.
“We have agreed on a three-year deal with a very young, talented, and promising center-back, Emmanuel Ankrah. He’s a perfect fit for the club’s project, where we aim to develop young players like him for top-level football,” the club wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
Ankrah was a standout performer for the Sunyani-based club despite their relegation.
He played a crucial role for Bofoakwa Tano, who reached the finals of the FA Cup, ultimately losing to regional rivals Nsoatreman FC.
The towering defender is expected to be a key player in Nsoatreman's campaign next season, both domestically and in Africa.
Nsoatreman will represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup next season and will face Elect Sport of Chad in the first round of the competition.
