Former Division One League Board chairman, Lawyer Ntow Fianko wants the Ghana Football Association to appoint Lawyer R.O Solomon and Cudjoe Fianoo to the autonomous league committee to serve as special advisors.

According to the veteran football administrator, the two, based on their experience can contribute immensely towards carving a perfect model to allow the Ghana Premier League run as an autonomous body.

The GFA announced last week that they had initiated steps for the country’s top flight to be run independently. Eventually a committee made up of five persons will be named to draw out modalities and the framework for ushering the league into an autonomous state.

Ntow Fianko believes the committee no matter their membership will need the input of Cudjoe Fianoo and R.O Solomon. The two formed part of a three man contingent that were sent by the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) to South Africa to study the independently run Premier Soccer League (PSL).

Ntow Fianoo told Kumasi based OTEC FM, “Those CHALCA sent to South Africa 16 years ago to learn their model, Kwesi Nyantakyi, Cudjoe Fianoo, and Lawyer R.O Solomon came with documents of what they learned in South Africa.

At least, the three of them are alive except Kwesi Nyantakyi who can’t do active football following FIFA’s band”

“At least, Lawyer R.O Solomon who has been a senior lawyer for over 36 years and Cudjoe Fianoo, now GHALCA chairman should be correlated to the members of the committee to serve as teachers. Those nominated to the committee know nothing about what they are about to do” He added

“They (Lawyer R.O Solomon and Cudjoe Fianoo) will be in a good position to advise the members of the committee on how to go about it if they are being added to the committee” he concluded.
