Re-elected GFA President, Kwesi Nyantakyi, has denied any foul play in the electioneering process.

The incumbent FA boss who won the seat for the third time unopposed, schooled intended aspirant to adhere to the rules of the election process and gear up ahead of time.

Speaking on an Accra based Metro TV, the FA boss said, “The time table for the election came out long ago and before that, all people interested in becoming the FA president knew what they needed to be eligible. The time table did not come out suddenly. Even when it came out, it was not different from the 2011 and so there was no surprise.

“The ample time cannot be decided any one individual, it is the prerogative of the Executive Committee. The Executive Committee has decided what ample time is, so if in your mind you think the ample time is not enough for you to file your nomination, then nothing can be done about it. From now until 2019, there will be no election, so who ever that is interested must start pulling your string together ahead of the 2019 elections”.
