Former CEO of Accra Hearts of Oak, Vincent Sowah Odotei, has blamed the Kwesi Nyantakyi led administration of failing to improve the standard of Ghana football.
Odotei said the local league has been plagued by lack of competent personnel appointed to manage the game hence reducing the attractiveness of it.
Nine years after taking over as President of the Ghana Football Administration, Nyantakyi has supervised three FIFA World Cup appearances for the Black Stars and the FIFA Under-20 World Cup triumph, but the CAF Executive Committee member has been blamed for his excessive focus on the national teams ahead of local league.
According to Odotei, Nyantakyi’s lack of concentration for the local league has led to low stadia attendances and the recent loss of slots in the CAF Inter-club competitions.
Odotei believes the Nyantakyi administration lacks the managerial quality to shoot Ghana football to an enviable height.
"I don’t have anything against Kwesi, he has done well but let me assess him in terms of policies, lets come to human resource, football apart from his early years [Ghana football] has not attracted the best competitive human resource” Odotei said.
