The woes of embattled former President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi seem not to be ending anytime soon with FIFA dropping another hammer on the man who is currently undergoing investigations for ethical breaches and some disparaging remarks he made about President Akufo-Addo.

With his initial 90 days ban imposed on him by FIFA set to end this week, Nyantakyi and his disciples felt their troubles were nearing an end, however, just this afternoon FIFA has released a new statement confirming the extension of the ban by 45 days.

The decision according to FIFA is to allow its Ethics Committee enough time to complete investigations into activities of Kwesi Nyantakyi whiles he was serving as President of Ghana’s football association.

Kwesi Nyantakyi was provisionally suspended on 8 June for 90 days by the adjudicatory chamber of Fifa's Ethics Committee after he was caught on camera receiving $65,000 (£48,000) from an undercover reporter pretending to be a businessman.

Kwesi Nyantakyi since the airing of the Number12 documentary has resigned from his positions as FIFA Council Member, First Vice President of CAF and WAFU Zone B President.

The Criminal Investigations Department of the Ghana Police Service is currently probing Kwesi Nyantakyi for some comments he made about the President Akufo-Addo and how he allegedly used his position as GFA president to conduct fraudulent transactions according to the Attorney-General, Gloria Akufo.
