Ghana Football Association boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi maintains that they have to reschedule the time of some of the games of the 2017/2018 season which might fall in the World Cup period.
Nyantakyi stressed that some of the GPL games might even be played in the morning in order to get more patronage if the original time clashes with the World Cup games.
”We are going to start our season next year January\February and we hope that it will not clash with the World Cup.”Nyantakyi stated during the ExCo summit in Cape Coast
”We may do an accelerated program to finish the first round before the World Cup. The other option is for the PLB to scheduled games that will not clash with the World Cup fixtures. We may have our league games probably played in the morning to avoid coinciding with the Mundial fixtures”
The 2016/17 Ghana Premier League ended in October this year and the FA will decide in Congress next month the exact date the league will start.
