Nyarko discusses future with Everton

MISSING EVERTON star Alex Nyarko has reportedly been in touch with manager Walter Smith while the fan who abused him has been fined and banned.

The Ghanaian midielder, who failed to turn up for training at Everton's Bellefield training ground on Monday, has spoken with manager Walter Smith. After the 27-year-old Ghana international was abused by an angry fan during the 1-4 defeat to Arsenal at Highbury on Saturday, according to club spokesman Alan Myers on the club's official website:

"Walter Smith has today had a discussion with Alex Nyarko in which the player expressed his thoughts on the events of last weekend at Highbury. Alex has asked for more time to consider his future."
It would appear that Walter Smith will allow the former Lens player the time to consider his future with the club before talking again next week.
Nyarko's brother, speaking to the BBC Radio Five programme on Thursday evening, indicated that Alex is not in a fit frame of mind to participate in Everton's crucial Premiership run in of three matches and said that the midfielder will return to Ghana in the near future.
Meanwhile, Stephen Price, the fan who ran onto the pitch to tell Nyarko that he was not fit to wear the Everton shirt, has been fined ?170 and banned from all UK football grounds for three years by a north London court on Thursday.
