Hearts of Oak are set to loan out South African import Shaun October to fellow premier league side West Africa Football Academy [WAFA].
Shaun October joined the Phobians last season as a free agent after his contract expiration with South African second-tier side, Santos FC and signed a three year deal.
In last season’s Ghana premier league, the 25 year old left-back with his play quality won some plaudits from Hearts of Oak fans but failed to get more games due to the number of foreign players in Hearts camp as the regulations gives room for only three foreign nationals to be used in a league game
Ahead of the upcoming season, Hearts of Oak have reached a deal with WAFA over the loan move of Shaun October, the Managing Director of the club, Gerald Ankrah confirmed.
“Yes we have reached a deal with WAFA over the transfer of Shaun October, but we are yet to transfer him but I can say the deal is almost done.” He said.
Shaun October last season in all competition played 13 games for the Phobians and scored two goals.
