Defender Shaun October Mason believes he can score a couple of goals from set-piece situations for Hearts when the season starts.
The South African defender has netted two exquisite free-kicks from three attempts in the pre-season friendly series for Accra Hearts of Oak.
And October says he can still work on his ‘dead ball’ technique to help the team when the league starts.
“I have been trying to get more [free-kicks] on target and to put it at the back of the net, but this is my second free-kick goal from three attempts. I really enjoy and feel confident when it is in and around the area [box] and I speak to the guys to get the go ahead to take them,” October told Accraheartsofoak.com.
“I usually look at how the keeper sets up the wall and look for spaces around the wall, and once I find it, it goes into the net.
“Whenever I get the chance at training, during water-breaks, I try the free-kicks with the keepers. I am still working on my dead ball technique and I know if I get the chance in the league I will try and capitalize when the season begins by scoring more goals for the team.”
