Odambea soccer gala

As part of festivities to mark the Odambea festival, two sporting activities will be organized for the various towns that make up the Nkusukum traditional area in the central region as part of of line up activities for Odambea festival 2013.

The soccer extravaganza aims at unearthing budding talents in the Nkusukum Traditional Council in the Mfantsiman Municipality and will serve as a unique opportunity for the youth of the area to display their God-given talent while having fun. The showdown will happen at the Victoria Park on Thursday, 29th August, 2013.

The Festival is celebrated in the last week of August during the beginning of food harvesting to signify hooting at hunger and to commemorate the achievements of their ancestors. This soccer gala seeks to strengthen the unity among the youth and people and bring to their consciousness to the need for growth and development in the area. The winner of the competition wins the coveted Odambea soccer gala trophy among many other prizes from sponsors MTN.
