Official: GN Bank division one league postponed

The 2015/2016 GN Bank National Division One League, which was originally scheduled to start on Saturday, February 20, 2016, has been rescheduled to kick off next Week Saturday, February 27, SportsCrusader.com authoritatively confirm.

The move is to ensure that every player of the 42 participating clubs receives his player license to prevent unnecessary protests.

The decision was to postpone the Ghanaian second tier league was arrived at, at an emergency stakeholders meeting at the Ghana Football Association Secretariat in Accra on Thursday Evening.

Confirming the news to SportsCrusader, Chairman of the Division One League Board, Mr. Owuahene Acheampong revealed that all the 48 clubs are in the know about the postponement.

The GN Bank Division One was originally slated to kick off on the same day as the Ghana Premier League.
