Accra Hearts of Oak have announced the departure of goalkeeper Richard Attah, ending his long stay at the club.

Attah was among four players who have officially departed the club, following an announcement on X (formerly Twitter).

The other three players on the list include Ibrahim Salifu, who was released; Issah Kuka, who has joined Vision FC for an undisclosed transfer fee; and Yakubu Zakari, who has had his contract terminated.

The departures form part of Hearts of Oak's squad overhaul to reshape and strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.

The Black Stars goalkeeper's release brings an end to his four-year stay with the Rainbow side. He joined the club as a free agent after his contract with Elmina Sharks ran out.

During his four-year spell, he helped the Phobians win three major titles, including ending the club's over-a-decade wait for a league title.

His performance in the 2020-2021 season earned him a call-up to the Black Stars, and he subsequently made the squad for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon.
