Istanbul Ba?ak?ehir defender Joseph Attamah Larweh is elated to make the final 23-man squad for the Black Stars for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Larweh was included in coach Kwesi Appiah's final 23-man squad for the competition after a week of intensive training in the United Arab Emirates ahead of the tournament.
The 58-year-old gaffer dropped five players including New York FC's Ebenezer Ofori, Numancia's Yaw Yeboah and locally based duo Fatawu Safiu and Mohammed Alhassan.
" Thanks to the almighty God for giving me this opportunity to represent my country in this years. AFCON 2019. GO GHANA," he posted on Social Media.
Ghana will continue with their training in Dubai, where they are scheduled to play South Africa in a pre-AFCON friendly before they leave for Egypt on June 20.
Ghana has been drawn in Group F alongside defending champions Cameroon, Guinea Bissau and Benin.
The tournament will kick off on June 21.
