Okwawu United suffered their first home defeat in the league when they lost 0-2 to a well-composed visiting Sekondi Hasaacas in their match played at the Nkawkaw Park.

When Accra-based Class one referee, E. N. Adjei signalled for the end of the match, supporters of Okwawu United, who were

unhappy with their team's performance of late, nearly attacked the players and the technical men but for the timely intervention by police.

Hasaacas kicked off and had a chance to score in the first minute but wasted it.

In the seventh minute, inside right Emmanuel Okyere threw away another chance when he headed off target a cross from John Ainoo. However, in the 29th minute, Hasaacas atoned for their earlier misses when veteran left winger Kofi Abbery beat three Okwawu defenders on the trot and sent a cross to outside right Seth Twumasi to score.

Okwawu accepted the challenge but they failed to utilise the few scoring chances they created.

Okwawu sent in Abdul Mijima for inside right Richard Addo in the 46th minute but it was Hasaacas, who made it 2-0 through centre forward Justice Appiah a minute later.
