Opare doubtful for Cercle Brugge game

Ghana international Daniel Opare is likely to miss Standard Liege’s weekend game against Cercle Brugge after experiencing pains in his knee.

The 23-year-old suffered a sprained knee against Ostendse two weeks ago but was fit again and featured against Lokeren over the weekend after treatment.

Opare, however, remained indoors on Wednesday due to pains and the club says he may be ruled out of the weekend tie. He is expected to miss training on Thursday.
