The technical director of Belgian Pro League leaders Standard Liege Jean-Francois De Sart has stated that Ghana international Daniel Opare and Geofrey Mujangi Bia will not leave the club in January.
Although their contracts among others end in the coming months, De Sart insists none of them will go away as talks are ongoing to renew the deals.
“We are in talks with both players (Opare and Geofrey) to extend their contracts. They are still stuck. For now, there is no reason why they would leave in January," De Sart told Voetballnieuws.
He added: “Mpoku and Kanu have also not signed yet. They are thinking of a departure. We can not find a chord with both players, but that does not mean that the door is closed. Presently there are no new talks scheduled."
