Osei-Ampofo wins Formula One Media Car Race

Accra, May 4, GNA - Kennedy Osei-Ampofo of Metro TV became the proud winner of the maiden Formula One Log On Go Kart Media Car Race which ended at the La Race Way in Accra on Monday.

He was followed by Clement Kommey of Obonu FM while Kenneth Boakye-Ansah of GTV placed third.

The winners on their way to the finals, champion Osei-Ampofo edged out Nathaniel Aryee of Meridian FM, Boakye-Ansah eliminated Theophilus Armah of Obonu FM while Kommey beat Ibrahim Adam of Metro TV. The two-day event, which was aimed at promoting road safety and the creating of awareness of sport through the media, was sponsored by Vodafone Ghana with support from Sikkens Ghana Limited and Metro TV. Mr Ishmael Lamptey, Chief Executive of Formula One Ishlant Limited, said he was impressed with the performance of the participants and called for more sponsorship for the promotion and development of the sport in the country.
