Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari made his highly anticipated debut for Austin FC in a 2-2 draw against Charlotte FC at Q2 Stadium early Sunday.
Bukari, who joined the Texas-based club from Red Star Belgrade during the summer transfer window, took to the field alongside defender Mikkel Desler, who entered the match as a substitute.
The 25-year-old showcased a solid performance during his 58 minutes on the pitch, although he could not help Austin FC secure a victory in this Major League Soccer encounter.
Austin FC opened the scoring in the 11th minute through a well-executed combination play near the penalty area, culminating in Ring heading home a cross from Dani Pereira.
However, Charlotte FC equalized just before halftime from the penalty spot, with Karol Swiderski converting.
The visitors then seized the lead in the 56th minute courtesy of Iuri Tavares.
Austin FC responded valiantly, with Jon Gallagher making a clever near-post run to meet a precise pass from Diego Rubio and leveling the score in the 80th minute, ensuring both teams shared the points in an exciting contest.
