The Technical Director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenten has commended domestic coaches for the improved technical abilities of the locally based players.

The CAF Technical Instructor aired his satisfaction at the tactical and technical understanding of the coaches and players as a whole in the Ghana Premier League and lower division leagues.

Disclosing his satisfaction to Sportscrusader.com, the CAF Technical Instructor said, “The domestic league is becoming keener because of the good work of the local coaches. Even the Division One League is an example. The coaches have done a lot of good work on the players and it has reflected on the players.

“The tactical discipline of the players in the game is very good. Though we are not there yet, but the coaches have done a good work on these players. Even their conditioning has improved tremendously. This time you don’t see teams that play very well in the first half and fizzles in the second half. Physically they have done a very good work on these players and it is our hope that administrators will help us.

“We want to encourage all Premier league coaches to undertake Pro Licensed before we make it a necessity after the club licenses.”
