Veteran coach J.E Sarpong has revealed that the technical director of the Ghana Football Association, Francis Oti Akenteng was not consulted before the appointment of the recent national team coaches.
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) earlier this week announced changes to the coaching departments of the female senior national teams, Black Queens, Black Satellites and Black Starlets.
FIFA U-20 World Cup winning coach, Sellas Tetteh has been handed the Black Queens coaching job ahead of the upcoming WAFU Women’s tournament in Ivory Coast and the Women’s AFCON to be held in Ghana later this year and will be assisted by Mercy Tagoe.
Former Wa all Stars manager, Jimmy Cobblah and Nuru Ahmed have been named as coach and assistant respectively for the national U20 team, the Black Satellites.
Meanwhile, current Dreams FC head coach, Karim Zito will also steer the affairs of the national U17 male team, the Black Starlets with Yaw Preko as his deputy.
However, outspoken veteran trainer, J.E Sarpong says the nation's football governing body technical director was not conferred before the final decision on the various coaches was met by the FA.
"Oti Akenteng is clearly not aware of the appointments of the national coaches. He wasn't consulted before the appointments," Sarpong disclosed on Happy FM.
