Aduana Stars new captain, Daniel Darquah has admitted the season has started poorly but that can’t continue as he cautions the season for them begins now going into match week 3.
The 2010 Ghana premier league champions were touted prior to the season to be among the favourites to challenge defending champions Ashgold in the 2015/16 Ghana premier league season.
Though it’s too early to hit the panic button with just two games played, Aduana is yet to gain a point after losing all the two opening games and in addition to the resignation of manager Nurudeen Ahmed, captain Darquah thinks all the negatives have to be corrected now starting with the club’s next premier league game.
He said, “we’re very worried about the situation as with just two matches and two defeats our manager has left the club and this has affected the players negatively but as professionals we are ready to start on a new slate.”
“our concentration has now shifted into the next game as we look to halt this poor run of form. We’re left with 28-matches to end the season and these are all important to us,” he added.
Aduana Stars play away to newly promoted side, Techiman City in match week 3.
