Deputy Sports Minister Vincent Asamoah has revealed the government spent over 2 million dollars on the national U-17 team disqualified for age cheating.
The minister expressed sadness in the team and says someone must be held accountable for that.
“I am very worried over what CAF has done to us, we are all in this country and complaining about stuff but I can tell you that government spent around 2 million dollars only on the U-17 qualification,” Asamoah told GHANASoccernet.com
“So you can imagine to spend all this money on a team only for it to be banned from the competition; it is not fair.
“I like what the FA want to do, they should hold the radiologist responsible.”
