Owusu Abeyie opens talks with Heerenveen

Ex-Ghana international Quincy Owusu Abeyie is reported to be in talks with Dutch side SC Heerenveen.

The 30-year-old has received offers from Romania and Bulgaria as he continues his search for a new club.

Negotiations between Abeyie and Iraqi club Al Shorta SC for a potential switch had broken down and also failed a trial at Eredivisie club SC Cambuur.

Abeyie will be signing for SC Heerenveen after impressing in a trial with Coach Jürgen Streppel willing to offer him an opportunity in his set up.
