Ghana international Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has revealed that it will be a dream come true for him to feature in the Italian Serie A.

The 28-year-old forward had his contract with Portuguese side Boavista terminated in April this year through mutual agreement and he is yet to sign for a new club.

The former Arsenal and Malaga wide man is relishing a move to Italy as he is confident that it will be a big platform upon which he can showcase his talent.

"Sure, I would like to play in Italy, it would be great!" Owusu-Abeyie told Tutto Mercato Web.

"Italy has always been a land of great talent. I wish I could show my qualities in a tough league like the Italian one," he continued.

"I have spoken to several players and everyone speaks well about Italian football. Kwadwo Asamoah for example, he told me that is a very physical league and where the training is very important. Surely it would be a nice experience for me."

Abeyie, who is yet to settle in club football having also played for Ajax, Cardif City, Birmingham City, Panathinaikos, Levante, Al Sadd and others, admitted moving from one club to another has seriously affected his career.

"I have made some bad decisions in the past, first of all the fact of having to move from one club to another? has halted my progress as a player. But now I'm ready to give everything I have for my next team."

A former Dutch youth international. Abeyie switched allegiance to play for Ghana in 2008 and was part of the country's Africa Cup of Nations squad that year. He also featured at the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
