Ghana right back John Paintsil has revealed that his former clubs Berekum Arsenal and Liberty Professionals are among the three local top flight clubs he would want to play for before retiring from professional football.

The 33-year-old, who was not named in 31-man Black Stars squad for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations, is convinced that returning to Ghana to feature in the Premier League is the best way to pass on his experience to the younger generation of footballers in the country.

“I will definitely come back and play for a team in Ghana before I hung up my boots. Though my father wanted me to play for Hearts of Oak, there are three teams in my mind – Berekum Arsenals, Liberty Professionals and a third team I don’t want to mention,” Paintsil told Metro TV’s Ernest Koranteng.

The ex-Fulham and West Ham back-liner has made 14 appearances for Maritzburg in the 17 week old South African PSL this season.
