Kurt Okraku, President of the Ghana Football Association says he does not lose sleep over the case between Osei Kwaku Palmer and the association.

Palmer is seeking redress from the Court of Arbitration for Sports after he was barred from the contesting last year’s GFA elections by the Normalization Committee.

Should the Tema Youth chief get a favourable ruling from the CAS, the association could be forced to hold another election.

The situation has raised doubts about the future of Kurt’s reign as hopes hinge on CAS ruling against Palmer.

Despite the uncertainty about his rulership, Kurt says he is not worried about the impending case.

Speaking on GhanaWeb’s Sports Check program, Kurt said that he is prepared for any ruling.

“It’s a case involving Palmer and the association and it is what it is. If CAS gives a ruling, we’ll go by the ruling. Again you can't change today’s date. When the sea becomes rough, fishes don’t gee”. He said.

The former Dreams FC boss has been in office for seven months and in this interview with GhanaWeb, he addresses a number of issues including the salary arrears of ex-Black Stars coach, Kwasi Appiah.

Kurt is unhappy with how the situation has unfolded and assured the coach that plans are underway to pay his money.

It’s most unfortunate honestly speaking; I would not want the FA or for that matter the government to come into the public space in that manner. Indeed we initiated the processes, everybody knows including Kwasi Appiah know the processes that are involved .“

“He knows the FA engaged him but the FA doesn’t pay his salaries, it’s the ministry of youth and sports that’s is responsible for the payment of salaries of all of our national team coaches and they do it via the sponsorship from GNPC so it’s a bit of a like triangle so there are processes one has to go through at times it delays and at times it does end quickly“
