Ghana is set to witness another celebration of sport and democracy as the Parliament of Ghana prepares to launch the third edition of the Democracy Cup.

The special ceremony, slated for Tuesday, March 31, 2026, will take place at the Parliament House, with the Speaker of Parliament, Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, leading the proceedings alongside the parliamentary leadership.

The Democracy Cup, now in its third year, has grown into a flagship initiative that intertwines football with civic education and national unity.

Designed to strengthen democratic values, the tournament uses the universal appeal of the game to foster civic responsibility, peaceful coexistence, and a sense of shared national identity.
