The 2024/25 season has begun, and the performance of Ghanaian players in leagues worldwide will be closely monitored and reported.

Our reporter, Herbert Boakye Yiadom, will provide weekly updates on how these players perform in their respective leagues.

Players who scored

Ghanaian striker Antoine Semenyo kicked off the new season by scoring a late equalizer for AFC Bournemouth in their draw against Nottingham Forest.

Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Leeroy Owusu also found the back of the net as Odense Boldklub secured a commanding 3-1 win over B 93 in the Danish 1. Division on Saturday.

Ghanaian midfielder Kwame Poku scored a brace in Peterborough's victory over Shrewsbury Town, while forward Mohammed Fuseini netted the match-winner for Union Saint-Gilloise in their home triumph.

Ghanaian defender Terry Yegbe found the back of the net as 10-man Elfsborg drew against Mjallby, and striker Abdul-Aziz Yakubu continued his fine form by scoring in Shimizu S-Pulse's comfortable victory.

Mohammed Kudus impressed despite West Ham’s 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa at the London Stadium.
