Black Stars materials Ebenezer Assifuah, Majeed Waris and David Accam all scored important goals for their clubs across the club globe while other ten players also got on target.

Finnish-born Solomon Duah and former Liberty Professionals starlet Eugene Ansah netted a brace each with Rashid Sumaila, Dominic Oduro, Nana Poku, Nii Adjei, Francis Narh, Samuel Owusu, and youngster Emmanuel Boateng scored for Moreirense in Portual.

And, striker Kwame Karikari made history by becoming the first player to score to help Haugesund win their first ever game in the Norwegian league opening day.

Abdul Majeed Waris scored the opening goal for Lorient who frustrated Olympique Marseille by holding them to a 1-1 draw.

Caen slipped to a 1-0 loss at GFC Ajaccio on Saturday. French-born Ghanaian defender Dennis Appiah played the entire game for Caen.

Manchester City loanee Yaw Yeboah could not make the Lille first team squad for their 2-1 win at Bastia.

In the Ligue 1 French-born Ghanaian forward Grejohn Kyei could not recover in time to play for Stade Reims in their 2-2 draw at AS Monaco on Friday.

2015 Ghana U20 defender Emmanuel Ntim played the entire 90 minutes of the game for Valenciennes in their 1-0 home reverse against Brest.

Midfielder Joachim Adukor played full throttle for Beziers when they lost 3-1 at Les Herbiers in the third-tier league.

Former Ghana U17 and U20 attacker Charles Boateng was in full time action for Avranches in their 2-0 loss at Boulogne.

ITALY

Juventus kept a firm grip on the Serie A leadership after pipping a stubborn Sassuolo side 1-0 at the Juventus Arena. Injury-disturbed Ghana midfielder Kwadwo Asamoah played the full 90 minutes for the Old Ladies. In-form Alfred Duncan also lasted the entire duration of the game for i Neroverdi while 17-year-old defender Claud Adjapong came off their bench in the 89th minute mark his Serie A debut.

Godfred Donsah played 77 minutes for Bologna when they lost 2-1 at Inter Milan.

Kevin-Prince Boateng was unused by AC Milan who drew 0-0 with Chievo Verona on Sunday afternoon.

Isaac Cofie played full throttle for Carpi who won 2-1 against Frosinone. Raman Chibsah was introduced in the 77th minute by the losers.

Thomas Partey warmed the Atletico Madrid bench in their 3-0 win over over Deportivo La Coruna on Saturday.

There was no Inaki Williams in action for Athletic Bilbao in their 3-1 hammering of Real Betis.

Wakaso Mubarak missed Las Palmas's 2-1 home loss against Real Madrid with injury.

Bernard Mensah was introduced in the 78th minute by Getafe who succumbed to a 6-0 defeat at Barcelona at the Camp Nou.

Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu lost his automatic starting spot at Malaga and was brought on to play the last 6 minutes for Los Boquerones in their 1-0 win over Sporting Gijon.

Fatau Mohammed warmed the bench for Almeria in their 1-0 win over Girona.

Razak Brimah picked two balls from his net as he lasted the entire game for Cordoba in their 2-1 home loss against Lugo.

Clifford Aboagye played 74 minutes for Granada B when they won 1-0 over Jena. But Jafar Yeboah Ibrahim and Richard Boateng were not in the Granada B squad for the game.

BELGIUM

Frank Acheampong scored the second goal for Anderlecht in their 3-0 win over Kortrijk in the Pro League on Sunday. Former New Edubiase Utd midfielder Asiedu Attobrah could not make the Kortrijk squad for the game.

Nana Akwasi Asare was booked in the 35th minute and played the entire game for KAA Gent when they drew 1-1 with Sporting Charleroi.

Bennard Kumordzi came off the bench to play the last 10 minutes for KRC Genk in their 4-1 home victory over KV Oostende.

Benjamin Tetteh did not travel with the Standard Liege team for their 4-0 mauling at KV Mechelen.

AUSTRIA

German-born Ghanaian midfielder Reagy Ofosu played the 45 minutes for Grodig who suffered a 1-0 home loss at Mattersburg.

Ghanaian youth striker Raphael Dwamena came off the bench to score the fourth goal for Liefering in their 4-0 win over Austria Salzburg. Midfielder David Atanga played the entire duration of the game for Liefering but duo Isaac Vorsah and Lawrence Ati-Zigi were not in the Liefering squad for the game.

CHINA

Ghana skipper Asamoah Gyan beat the race against fitness to play the full 90 minutes for Shanghai SIPG in their 1-1 stalemate with Shanghai Shenhua.

CYPRUS

Midfielder Carlos Ohene was replaced on the 70th minute mark by AEL Limassol who won 2-1 at Doxa in the Division One.

Former Manchester City defender Razak Nuhu played 75 minutes for Anothorsis Famagusta when they lost 1-0 against AEK Larnaca.

Chris Dickson and Ulyss Ndong played for Ermis in their 1-0 win over Achnas in the relegation play offs.

ENGLAND

There was neither Hiram Boateng nor Tariqe Fosu in the Crystal Palace and Reading teams respectively when the Eagles won 2-0 to advance in the FA Cup on Friday.

Andre Ayew missed Swansea City's 3-2 loss at Bournemouth with an ankle problem.

But is brother Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes for Aston Villa in their 2-0 home loss against Tottenham Hotspur at the Villa Park.

In the Championship, Elvis Manu conspicuously missed out of the Huddersfield team for their 3-1 home loss against Burnley.

Albert Adomah played the full 90 minutes for Middlesbrough in their 2-0 loss at Charlton Athletic on Sunday.

Former Liberty Professionals attacker Koby Arthur returned to the Birmingham City side but was unused he warmed the bench in their 0-0 draw at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Elsewhere in the League Two, Andy Yiadom played the entire match for Barnet who drew 1-1 with York City.

Derek Asamoah played the last six minutes for Carlisle United who drew 2-2 at Exeter City.

Baba Rahman warmed the Chelsea bench in their 2-0 loss at Everton in the English FA Cup.

GERMANY

Daniel Opare could not make the Augsburg squad for their 2-2 draw at Darmstadt. The former Standard Liege and FC Porto defender is still without a first team appearance in the Bundesliga since his arrival in the summer.

Youngster Gideon Jung was unused by Hamburg SV who succumbed to a 1-0 away loss against Bayer Leverkusen.

Both Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh and Joseph Baffo were in action for Eintracht Braunschweig when they lost 3-0 against Greuther Furth in the Bundesliga II.

In other games, Davidson Drobo-Ampem was unused by St Pauli who were beaten 4-3 by Paderborn.

In the Liga 3, midfielder Kwame Kusi warmed the bench for Furtuna Koln in their 3-1 home loss against Stuttgart II. Striker Prince Owusu was not in the Stuttgart II for the game.

Evans Nyarko returned to action for Holstein Kiel who punished Aue 3-0 on Saturday. The former BvB Dortmund midfielder played the last 7 minutes of the game.

In the Reserves League, Ghanaian youth midfielder Bernard Tekpetey was booked in the 63rd minute while he was in action for Schalke 04 II when they won 1-0 at Koln II.

NETHERLANDS

Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong was unused by FC Twente when they defeated PEC Zwolle 2-1 in the Eredivisie.

Derrick Luckassen played in lateral defence for AZ Alkmaar who won 2-0 at Willem II.

Marcel Appiah played 80 minutes for NEC Nijmegen when they held Ajax to a 2-2 draw.

Manchester City loanee Divine Naah played 71 minutes for NAC Breda who posted a 5-0 win over Oss.

In other games, Jong Ajax and VVV Venlo shared the spoils in a 2-2 draw. Both Elton Acolatse and Leeroy Owusu played for Ajax but in-form striker Johnathan Opoku Agyemang missed out of the Venlo squad.

There was action for both Raymond Gyasi and Erixon Danso as their Emmen side lost 3-2 against Sparta Rotterdam.

NORWAY

Ghanaian trio of Ernest Asante, Kamal Issah and Shadrach Eghan got their season to a false start in the Eliteserien after losing 1-0 at Aalesund. Dutch-born Ghanaian Edwin Gyasi played 65 minutes for the victors.

Kwame Karikari got his Haugesund season to a bright after by scoring the only goal in their win over Sarpsborg in the Norwegian top-flight league on Sunday. Derrick Mensah was unused by the victors.

Mahatma Otoo could not recover from injury to play for Sogndal IF in their 2-0 opening day defeat at Bodo/Glimt but Gilbert Koomson came off the bench to play for the losers.

Mohammed Abu and Nana Boateng both started for Stromsgodset in their 2-2 draw with Brann.

PORTUGAL

Former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackmann was introduced in the 89th minute by Boavista who travelled to beat Maritimo 3-0.

Emmanuel Boateng climbed off the bench to score for Moreirense in their 2-2 draw with Academica Coimbra. Ernest Ohemeng was also introduced in the second-half by Moreirense but Richard Ofori was not in the Academica squad for the game.

Alhassan Wakaso played the full 90 minutes for Rio Ave who lost 1-0 against Nacional with ten men.

Osei Barnes was unused by Pacos Ferreira when they pipped Vitoria Guimaraes 1-0 at their own backyard.

In the second-tier league, former Inter Milan striker Said Ahmed Said was in full time action for Olhanense in their 0-0 draw at Academico Viseu.

Ghanaian forward Babo Seddiqi Barro came off the Al Rayyan bench in the 77th minute to play in their 0-0 draw with Qatar SC.

RUSSIA

Midfielder Rabiu Mohammed played the entire duration of the game of the game for Kuban Krasnodar who defeated Krylya Sovetov Samara 2-0.

Defender Jonathan Mensah played at right-back for Anhzi who lost 4-2 against Ural and still remain in 15th position in the Premier League.

Emmanuel Frimpong was not in the FK Ufa team that lost 2-0 at Lokomotiv Moscow.

SOUTH AFRICA

Anas Mohammed came off the Maritzburg United bench to score the second goal in their 2-0 win over Golden Arrows. Midfielder John Arwuah was introduced on the 46th minute of the game.

Midfielder Edwin Gyimah played the entire duration of the game for Orlando Pirates who mauled Jomo Cosmos 5-0.

Lawrence Lartey was booked in the 71st minute and played entire match for Ajax Cape Town who lost 3-0 against Platinum Stars.

There was neither Kevin Luckassen nor Isaac Sackey in the Slovan Liberec side that won 1-0 at Pribram.

FINLAND

Finnish-born Ghanaian forward Solomon Duah scored a brace for Inter Turku in their 4-1 win over Aland in the Finnish Cup.

KAZAKHSTAN

Striker Patrick Twumasi was replaced in second-half stoppage-time by FC Astana who beat Shakhtar Karagandy 2-1.

POLAND

Aziz Tetteh played 88 minutes for Lech Poznan who won 3-1 at Ruch in the Polish top-flight on Saturday.

SAUDI ARABIA

Sulley Muntari missed out of Ittihad's 2-0 home loss against Al Wehda with suspension.

SCOTLAND

Former Sogakope Red Bull forward Samuel Owusu scored the only goal of the game Surdiluca in their 1-0 win over Javor.

USA

Attacker David Accam scored the equalising goal for Chicago Fire in their 1-1 draw with Orlando City in the MLS. Patrick Nyarko was not in the Fire squad for the game.

Gershon Koffie was booked in the first-half and played 88 minutes for New England Revolution who drew 0-0 with DC United. Canadian-born Ghanaian Kofi Opare warmed the United bench.

Dominic Oduro scored the opening goal for Montreal Impact in their 3-0 win over New York Red Bulls. Ghana internationals Lloyd Sam and Gideon Baah started the game for Red Bulls.
