ENGLAND

Manchester United humbled Leicester City with a 4-1 drubbing at the Old Trafford. Ghana midfielder Daniel Amartey assisted the consolation goal for the Foxes while attacker Jeffrey Schlupp came off the bench to play for Leicester. Dutch-born Ghanaian youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah was named on the United bench.

In the Championship, there was no place in the Brighton squad for under-performing Elvis Manu as they won 2-0 against Barnsley. English-born Andy Yiadom played in lateral defence for the losers.

Newcastle United earned a 1-1 draw at Aston Villa in the Championship on Saturday. Ghana pair of Jordan Ayew and Albert Adomah both started the game for Villa but Christian Atsu was unused by the visitors.

In the League One, Hiram Boateng was unused by Bristol Rovers who won 2-1 against Port Vale.

In the Bundesliga, attacker Kevin Luckassen came off the bench in the 83rd minute to play for St Polten in their 1-1 draw with Rapid Wien.

Meanwhile former AshantiGold defender Kadri Mohammed could not make the Austria Wien squad for their 2-1 loss against Admira.

Young defender Kennedy Boateng lasted the entire period of the game for dethroned leaders LASK Linz who suffered a 2-0 setback against Blau-Weiß Linz in a local derby clash.

EGYPT

Former Asante Kotoko and Wa All Stars striker Ben Acheampong scored the opening goal for El Daklyeh in their 1-1 draw with Petrojet on Friday.

Former Young Boys attacker Samuel Afum played for Wadi Degla in their 1-0 win over Al Ittihad in the Egyptian Premier League on Saturday.

Nana Poku played for Misr Lel Makasa in their 2-0 loss at FC Smouha.

ESTONIA

Hamuni Dramani was not in the Infonet team that pipped Parnu 1-0 but defender Michael Ofosu-Appiah warmed the winners' bench.

GERMANY

In the Bundesliga, German-born Ghanaian midfielder Gideon Jung played the entire game for Hamburg SV who slipped to yet another defeat after losing 1-0 against Bayern Munich.

Baba Rahman was in action for Schalke 04 who shockingly lost 2-1 at Hoffenheim to record their fifth straight loss of the season. Ghanaian youngster Bernard Tekpetey could not make the Schalke squad for the game.

Former Real Madrid Castilla player Daniel Opare could not make the Augsburg squad for their 1-0 win over Darmstadt 98.

German-born Anton Donkor could not make the matchday squad grades at Wolfsburg who succumbed to a 2-1 loss against Werder Bremen.

Defender Jans Gyamerah climbed off the bench in the second-half to play for Bochum who were held to a 1-1 draw VfL Stuttgart in the Bundesliga II.

Meanwhile Erich Berko was introduced in the second-half by Dynamo Dresden who were held to a 2-2 draw by Würzburger Kickers.

2015 Ghana U20 midfielder David Atanga was rested by Heidenheim in their 3-0 win over Kaiserslautern.
