European football expert, Reuben Obodai brings you a comprehensive update on how Ghanaian players performed in abroad this weekend.

There were so many great performances from Ghanaian players across the globe but one that stands tall among the lot is Albert Adomah. I believe this chap has shown over the course of the season that he's indeed reached the level many expected from him years ago.

The speedy winger cum striker exhibited why he's been the Villans most rated player as he netted his 14 league goal and provided a beautiful assist to inch his closer to promotion.

Meanwhile, Jordan Ayew nearly cost Swansea City a point after he was given his marching orders in the early minutes of their draw against Huddlesfield Town.

Elsewhere, Joseph Paintsil continues to impress in Hungary as he put in a fine shift and scored for Ferenvarosi in their heavy victory.

ENGLAND

Jeffery Schlupp lasted 75 minutes for Crystal Palace in their 2-1 loss against Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge. Timothy Fosu-Mensah warmed the bench for the Eagles.

Daniel Amartey missed Leicester City 4-1 victory at relegation threatened West Brom through injury.

Christian Atsu made a cameo appearance for Newcastle United as they walloped Southampton 3-0 at the St. James' Park.

Jordan Ayew was shown an early red card for Swansea City in their goalless draw with Huddlesfield Town. Andre Ayew lasted 73 minutes for the Swans while Collins Quaner made a cameo appearance for the Terriers.

In the Championship, Albert Adomah scored his 14th league goal for Aston Villa as they hammered high-flying Wolverhampton Wanderes 4-1 at the Villa Park. Phil Ofosu-Ayeh missed the game for the losers through injury.

Andy Yiadom warmed the bench for Barnsley in their 3-1 loss at Middlesbrough.

Caleb Ekuban lasted 77 minutes for Leeds United as they held Reading FC to a 2-2 draw.

Dennis Odoi played full minutes of action for Fulham FC in their 2-1 victory at Preston North End.

Emmanuel Boateng played a significant role after coming in the 59th minute for UD Levante in their 1-0 win over Getafe.

In the Segunda Division, Yaw Yeboah made a cameo appearance for Real Oviedo in their 3-1 loss at Tenerife.

Kwadwo Asamoah continued from where he left off in midweek against Tottenham as helped Juventus beat Udinese 2-0 at the Allianz Stadium.

Alfred Duncan lasted 64 minutes for Sassuolo in their 1-1 draw with Spal at the Mapei Stadium. Claude Adjepong made a cameo appearance for Sassuolo.

Isaac Cofie was not added to the Genoa squad that lost 1-0 to AC Milan at the Luigi Ferarris Stadium.

Godfred Donsah lasted full period for Bologna as they were defeated 1-0 by Atalanta.

Kevin-Prince Boateng lasted full minutes of action for Eintracht Frankfurt as they were beaten 3-2 by Borussia Dortmund at the Signal Iduna Park.
