European football specialist, Herbert Boakye Yiadom brings to you a comprehensive update on how Ghanaian players performed in their respective leagues over the weekend.

As the leagues across the world goes on a break to pave way for the qaulifiers and friendly matches to be played among countries I bring to you how they performed over the weekend for their respective clubs.

I start off with Asamoah Gyan despite missing the Black Stars call up for the Kenya game played his second game for Kayerispor since returning from injury. Gyan will be hoping to get fit in time to play at the AFCON.

Andre Ayew also played 90 minutes for Fenerbahce over the weekend as his team won against Sivasspor.

Kwadwo Asamoah helped Inter Milan defeat their neighbors AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina Sunday.

I bring to you a breakdown of how Ghanaian players fared in their respective leagues;

ENGLAND

In the FA Cup, Jeffrey Schlupp played 90 minutes for Crystal Palace as they lost 2-1 to Watford. Jordan Ayew was unused substitute for the losers

In the Premier League Daniel Amartey missed Leicester City game against Burnley due to injury.

Christian Astu saw 19 minutes of action for Newcastle United as they drew 2-2 against Bournemouth.

In the Championship, Andy Yiadom lasted 90 minutes for Reading as they held Stoke City to a goalless draw.

Albert Adomah came off the bench to score for Aston Villa in their 3-0 win over Middlesbrough.

In League One, Tarique Fosu was introduced into the game for Charlton Athletic in the 76th minute as they drew 0-0 against Bristol Rovers

Joe Dodo saw 32 minutes of action for Blackpool as they lost heavily to Burton by 3-0

In League Two, Hiram Boateng saw 80 minutes of action for Exeter City in their 3-0 win over Colchester

Koby Arthur and Enoch Andoh were not included in the match day squad for Macclesfield Town against Yeovil

In the National League, Bernard Mensah was substituted in the 89th minute for Aldershot as they lost 1-0 to Salford

Ofori-Twumasi Nana lasted 90 minutes for Maidenhead as they lost 1-0 to Harrogate. Fellow compatriot Nana Owusu warmed the bench

SPAIN

In the La Liga, Raphael Dwamena was not included in the match day squad for Levante in their 1-1 draw against Real Sociedad

Thomas Partey played 90 minutes for Atletico Madrid as they lost 2-0 to Atletico Bilbao.

Mubarak Wakaso saw six minutes of action for Alaves in their 3-1 win over Huesca. Fellow compatriot Patrick Twumasi was left on the bench

In the Segunda Division, Sulley Muntari was not included in the match day squad of Albacete over the weekend.

Richard Boateng was not added to the match day squad of AD Alcorcon in their game against Tenerife

FRANCE

In the Ligue 1, Baba Rahman played the full throttle for Reims in their 1-0 win over Nantes. He picked a booking in the game whilst Majeed Waris missed the game for the visitors due to injury.

In the Ligue 2, Ebenezer Assifuah warmed the bench for Le Havre in their 3-1 win over AS Ajaccio

John Boye featured 90 minutes for Metz in their 3-0 win over Niort

Elisha Owusu played full throttle for Sochaux as they drew against Troyes. Lawrence Ati-Zigi warmed the bench for Sochaux

GERMANY

Derrick Luckassen missed Hertha Berlin 3-2 defeat by Dortmund due to injury.

Kassim Nuhu Adams missed Hoffenheim’s 1-1 draw against Stuttgart

In the Bundesliga II, Gideon Jung was not included in Heindenham’s match day squad against Union Berlin

In the Budesliga III, Bernard Kyere lasted 90 minutes for Fortuna Koln in their 1-1 draw against Uerdingen. Team mate Christopher Antwi was not included in the match day squad.

Noah Awuku lasted seven minutes for Holstein Kiel in their 5-1 win over Aue.

Daniel-Kofi Kyereh lasted 89 minutes whilst Agyemang Diawusie saw 16 minutes of action for SV Wehen in their 2-0 win over Preussen Munster

ITALY

Kwadwo Asamoah lasted 90 minutes for Inter Milan in their game against AC Milan over the weekend.

Alfred Duncan lasted 90 minutes for Sassuolo as they were thrashed at home by Sampdora Duncan scored in the game for his side which ended 5-3. Claud Agyapong was unused substitute in the game.

Chibsah Raman saw 59 minutes of action for Frosinone against Empoli

Nicholas Opoku and Emmanuel Agyeman-Badu both missed Udinese game against Napoli over the weekend.

In Serie B, Bright Addai played 90 minutes for Ascoli as they drew 1-1 against Verona

Bright Gyamfi was an unused substitute for Benevento as they lost 3-2 against Spezia

THE NETHERLANDS

Dauda Mohammed saw 42 minutes of action for Vitesse as they lost 3-2 to Heracles

Leeroy Owusu played 90 minutes for De Graafschap in their 3-0 win over Heerenveen

Jonathan Opoku last 90 minutes for VVV Venlo as they lost to PSV.

Myron Boadu was not included in AZ Alkmaar match day squad against Ajax.

In the Eerste Divisie, Rodney Antwi featured for in FC Voledem as they lost 5-0 to Twente

Asumah Abubakar was an unused substitute for Maastricht as they lost at home to Waalwijk

Kevin Luckassen was not included in the match day squad for Almere City against Sparta Rotterdam.

AUSTRIA

Samuel Tetteh warmed the bench for LASK Links as they lost to Altach by 2-1

BELGIUM

Bernard Kumordzi warmed the bench for KV Kortrijk in their 2-0 win over Antwerp. Daniel Opare played 90 minutes for the losing side whilst Owusu Willian was introduced into the game in the 69th minute

Nana Ampomah missed Waasland-Beveren game over the weekend due to injury.

Nana Akwesi Asare played 90 minutes for KAA Gent in their 2-1 win over St.Truiden. Samuel Asamoah and Elton Acolatse lasted the entire duration for Sint Truiden

Eric Ocansey saw 79 minutes of action for KAS Eupen in their 2-1 win over Charleroi

Joseph Aidoo and Joseph Paintsil both warmed the bench for KRC Genk as they drew 3-3 against Waregem.

BULGARIA

Edwin Gyasi saw 20 minutes of action for CSKA Sofia in their 2-0 win over Beroe.

Samuel Inkoom played the full throttle for Dunav Ruse in their 1-1 draw against Cherno More.

CROATIA

Maxwell Acosty lasted 76 minutes for Rijeka as they defeated Osjek by 3-1

Nasiru Moro was not included in NK Gorica match day squad against Dinamo Zagreb

CZECH REPUBLIC

Emmanuel Antwi the action for Pribram due to suspension

CYPRUS

Danny Amankwaah saw 19 minutes of action for Sonderjyske as they lost to Midtjylland.

Alhassan Wakaso played 90 minutes Guimaraes as they won 3-1 against Boavista. Joseph Amoah and Henry Medarious missed the action for Guimaraes through injury.

Isaac Donkor played the full throttle for U Craiova 1948 CS in their 1-0 win over Sepsi

Thomas Agyepong missed Hibernian 2-0 win over Motherwell due to injury

SWEDEN

Nasiru Mohammed scored for Hacken BK in their 3-1 win over Djurgarden. Kwame Kizito was not included in the match day squad for Hacken

Nuhu Musah warmed the bench as Majeed Ashimeru played 90 minutes for St. Gallen as they lost to Lugano

In the Challenge League, Kwadwo Duah missed the game for Servette over the weekend

TURKEY

Lumor Agbenyenu the full throttle for Gotzepe as they lost by a lone goal to Besiktas

Caleb Ekuban played the full throttle for Trabzonspor in their 1-0 win over Erzurum BB.

Joseph Attamah played 90 minutes for Basaksehir in their 1-1 draw against Kayserispor. Asamoah Gyan came off the bench in the 81st minute for Kayerispor whilst fellow compatriot Bernard Mensah missed the game due to injury.
