Kumasi Asante Kotoko beat Kariobangi Sharks by 2-1 to qualify to the play-off of the CAF Confederation Cup.

It wasn’t an inspiring performance from the team of C.K Akonnor as the Kenyans dominated majority of the game on Saturday.

Footballmadeinghana.com’s Abdul Wadudu Osman rates the performance of the Asante Kotoko players.

Felix Annan (6/10) – Could be blamed for Sharks equalizer as he was caught unaware. Produced a wonderful save to deny Patilah Omott0 from scoring a late from a free kick.

Augustine Sefa( 6/10) – Struggled to deal with the pace of Harriosn Mwendwa but was solid defensively in majority part of the game. Couldn’t add more on the attack.

Amos Frimpong(7/10) – Improved on his performance today. Was a bit suspect at times. Got his name on the score sheet by converting from the spot.

Agyemang Badu( 7/10)– Passed another big test. Didn’t let his first-half howler got over him. Another solid performance by the young chap.

Abdul Ganiu Ismail( 8/10) – arguably man of the match. Solid at the back. Dealt with the threat of George Abege and substitute striker Sydney Lokale.. Won almost all the duels against the lanky strikers.

Richard Senanu ( 6/10)- Didn’t have a good game. Was outplayed in midfield by the visitors. Committed a lot of errors which is unsual of him.

Emmauel Gyamfi ( 6/10) – Started the game very well. Arguably derseved a penalty in the first half after he was brought down in the penalty box. Struggled with his final delivery.

Jordan Opoku ( 5/10) – Had a game to forget. Look a pale shadow of himself in the game. Struggled to find his feet till he was withdrawn in the second half.

Songne Yacouba (6/10) – not the best of his game. But still showed quality on attack. Won a penalty for his side after he was brought down in the 18-yard box.

Abdul Fatawu Safiu (7/10)-Scored the first goal for his team on his competitive debut. Showed a lot of promise with the ball. He still have a lot to do before commanding a starting place in the team.

Maxwell Baako ( 7/10) – Another great game from Maxwell. Tormented and mesmerized his marker on the left side. He still has to work on his final delivery.

Substitutes.

Kwame Boahene (5/10) – Replaced Maxwell Baakoh in the second half. But failed to make any serious impact in the game.

Umar Bashir (6/10) – Came in for Jordan Opoku to manage and add enough shield to the back four. Added stability in midfield for his team.

Naby Keita (5/10) – Replaced Abdu Fatawu Safiu. Not enough time to make any impact.

Evans Owusu (Unused)
