Mr. Kofi Appiah, Manager of the Dotobaa club told GNA Sports at Nkoranza that Shaffalows hosted the match on their grounds for the first time.

He said the female side of Mountain Breakers beat their Sikaa counterparts 1-0 and this did not go down well with the youth and the male players of Shaffalows who played a robust game when it came to their turn.

Mr. Appiah said the Dotobaa boys scored the first goal but Shaffalows equalized almost immediately but when the referee awarded a doubtful goal for the Sikaa team, the visitors decided to boycott the match.

He said the ball, which did not cross the net and did not enter the net and the referee, who was far away from the spot did not consult his linesmen but quickly whistled for a goal to the chagrin of the spectators.

The manager said no sooner had the Dotobaa players left the playing field than their opponents from Sikaa chased and pounced on them and beat them up destroying their jerseys in the process.

Mr. Appiah complained that some of the youth attacked him to demand for a refund of 40,000 cedis, which Mountain Breakers collected as a surety for a return match at Dotobaa.
