Asante Kotoko midfielder Michael Anaba has said that playing for the garden city club has always been his desire from childhood.
Speaking in an interview with Pink 96.9 fm, Anaba said, “I have always prayed to play for Kotoko since my boyhood days so when the technical team came asking for my signature it was a-dream-come-through for me.
“In life, I believe in two things. That is, I know that whenever I go on my knees to ask for favour and protection from the Lord Almighty he will not turn me down and apart from that I also believe that hard work pays so I always want to work hard”, Anaba noted.
Touching on his contract with the red army the midfielder said he hopes to fulfill the whole three year deal he signed for the porcupine warriors and if possible extend it. “If a club should come asking for my signature, I’ll consider it but not to the neglect of Kotoko”, he said.
“For now, we are through with the premier league so what I’m hoping for is the President Cup and the next African Champions League. I’m hoping to win those trophies for the supporters of Kotoko who have been supporting us all this while. “People kept doubting me when they heard I had signed for Kotoko because most of them hardly knew me before joining the club but with hard work and determination I managed to scale through with ease”, he added.
