Plenty goals gets Women's League underway

A total of 19 goals were recorded from six match centres on Sunday as Ghana finally kicked off its maiden National Women's League.

Out of the six matches in both sectors, only one fixture failed to produce a single goal.


Amid huge expectations in the Southern division league, Hasaacas Ladies were the biggest winners on match-day-1 after they thrashed Ayola Ladies 7-0 at the Gyandu Park to pick all three points.


Soccer Intellectuals, playing away at the Robert Mensah Stadium handed Cape Coast Ghatel a 3-0 home beating.


The clash between Immigration Ladies and Volta Amalgamated Ladies at the Legon Park ended goalless.


Veteran women's football campaigners Fabulous Ladies won 4-1 over Lepo Ladies at the Tamale Stadium Annex in the Northern league.

The hopes of Ashtown Ladies were dashed in Techiman where they lost 2-0 to Ampem Darkoa Ladies.


Prisons Ladies won 2-0 at the Bolga Stadium against home side, Bolga Ghatel Ladies.
