In what seems as the opportune time to bring oneness between B/A UTD and Bofoakwa Tano on Easter Monday which was special occasion solemnly observed by Christians throughout the world took a different dimension at the Sunyani coronation park and as usual with the police taking centre stage.

Police brutalities on innocent civilians since 2006 which has made Sunyani coronation park to gain notoriety as no go area become the order of the day.

This time, Ghana Broadcasting Corporation sports commentator in Sunyani Cubagee Uriel was brutalize by a police officer in an attempt to enter the coronation park to cover the match. Moment later ,Bofoakwa Tano Chairman Mr. Apraku Tuffour had his share of the brutalities alongside other soccer fans.

The Event put together by Platinum Seven had both teams receiving 1000 US$ each as appearance fee with the winner taking home another 1000US$ plus a giant trophy and the loser taking 500US$.

With full crowd at the coronation park and the supporters expecting the commencement of the match, the CEO of Bofoakwa angered by the event decided to stop his team from honoring the match but after several pleas ,he rescinded his decision for the match to get underway when it was 4:20 pm.

As if the match had been decided by destiny already ended abruptly in the second half when Bofoakwa walked off the field after a penalty had been awarded against them with few minutes to go on protest of bias officiating. B/A UTD who had wanted to be declared winners got it tough as the organizers failed to give the cash prize and the trophy to them with reason being that they had to get the match report before deciding the winner.

Reports gathered from the close source has it that, Mr. Cubagee has officially made complain to the Municipal Police in Sunyani against the said police officer who beat him up with doctor’s report submitted to the police as he wants to battle the case at court.
