Police warn Mighty Jets supporters

The police have warned they will deal ruthlessly with supporters of the owner of the Tudu Mighty Jets Football Club if they repeat their violent acts at the courts today.

Abubakar Nallah, fondly known as Abu Sundoko and ten other officials of the anti-drugs agency NACOB return to the Cocoa Affairs Court today to answer charges of dealing in the illicit narcotics trade.

Last week, his supporters besieged the Court and prevented journalists from covering proceedings, and threatened those who attempted to take pictures of the founder and bankroller of the premier league football club.

But Accra region Police PRO, ASP Cyprian Zenge says they will not tolerate any such acts today, Friday.

He said anyone who attempts to disturb the peace at the court premises will not be spared.

“We are in a law governing country and there is no [room] for any individual or group of people to go to a place where justice is supposed to be dispensed and then take the law into their own hands and do whatever they like,” he asserted.
