Hearts of Oak B0ard Chairman Togbe Afede XIV says his plans to secure a partnership with English giants Arsenal and Liverpool are being frustrated by bad publicity of the club.

Some disgruntled fans of the Phobians are demanding the immediate dissolution of the board over claims they have been incompetent throughout their five-year reign.

The supporters group called Project Phobia took issues with the board over the poor performance of the team in the Ghana Premier League having escaped relegation by the skin of their teeth last season.

Hearts board chairman Togbe Afede XIV however in a response to attempts to have his administration ousted says his efforts to build a competitive worldwide brand for the club is being thwarted by negative publicity.

The Chief of the Asogli State in the Volta Region went on to reveal at the club’s Annual General Meeting of his inability to struck a partnership agreement with English giants Arsenal and Liverpool due to the current self-imposed predicament of the club.

“I am trying to introduce Accra Hearts of Oak to Arsenal and Liverpool but look at our position on the league table?” he quizzed at the club’s gathering of shareholders on Wednesday.

"Look at the bad news that Arsenal will read about Accra Hearts of Oak, Liverpool will read about Accra Hearts of Oak.

“It will be difficult for me to go back again and talk.”
