Accra, May 13, GNA - Post Ladies of Ghana Postal Services Corporation qualified for the semi-finals of the Women Soccer of this year's Greater Accra Regional Sports Festival when they beat Dansoman Ladies 3-2 on penalties in their quarter final match at the Kaneshie Sports Complex in Accra on Thursday.
Parading seasoned players like Alberta Sackey of the Black Queens fame, Lydia Ankrah and Suleimana Abiba, Post Ladies who were a delight to watch could, however, not transform any of their moves into goals as the defenders of Dansoman Ladies stood firm against all attacks. Both teams threw everything into the game but it was Post Ladies who were slightly on top but they also failed to score.
Mawuena Ladies also qualified by beating Manhean Ladies 2-0 while Ghatel Ladies edged out Ashiaman Ladies 1-0.
