Chief Executive Officer of Box Office Promotions Alex Ntiamoah says he has not received any official letter from Ayitey Powers’ Camp to request a change in date for his anticipated bout with Bukom Banku on April 18.
The non-title Cruiserweight fight which is scheduled to come off next month now hangs in the balance as the Australia-based Boxer says his demand for a date change is grounded on spiritual beliefs.
“I received a call from a friend that he has heard it on radio that Ayitey Powers says we the organisers should change the date of the bout or he pulls out but as we speak I have not officially been informed,” Alex Ntiamoah told XYZ Sports.
The much talked about bout has received a lot of publicity both locally and internationally, with Super Sports also coming on board to telecast the fight live, but with this development, boxing fans in the Country are left worried about how things will turn up.
