Goalkeeper’s trainer of Hearts of Oak Nasamu Yakubu has backed former coach Yaw Preko’s decision to leave the club.
Preko last week resigned from his post, citing lack of respect by the management of the Phobians.
He was on the verge of being named as the substantive head coach of the team ahead of the new season. Nasamu noted Preko’s departure is long overdue.
“You know people throw away things they even love if it brings them problems,” the trainer told Starr Sports.
“You love a club and a whole lot of unnecessary things happen. His resignation is even long overdue.”
