Sekondi Hasaacas pipped Kpando Heart of Lions 1-0 in their well-contested Onetouch Premier League match played at Sekondi Gyandu Park on Sunday.
Substitute Benjamin Annan scored the lone goal for Hasaacas in the 87th minute after outclassing the defence of the visitors. The shot which was taken at close range flew past goalkeeper Mozart Adjetey while attempting to kick the ball off the danger zone. Earlier, Annan had missed about two clear scoring chances in the goal area of Lions.
Hasaacas continued to press for an early goal but defence of Lions stood firmly to thwart all attempts to end the first half goalless. On resumption of the second half, both sides played with more determination even though it was Hasaacas who were on top of proceedings.
