Cape Coast, Jan. 2, GNA - Kpando Heart of Lion beat Tema Youth 1-0 in their Onetouch Premier League match played at Robert Mensah Stadium on Wednesday.

In a drab match in which Heart of Lion had the upper-hand in attack, they had to wait until the 75th minute when George Yamoah of Asante Kotoko fame scored the match winner.

Led in the attack by Anthony Davies and Ekow Benson, Tema Youth made frantic efforts to equalise but the able defence by Hearts of Lion foiled all their attempts.

And in Accra, Accra Great Olympics' slide in the Onetouch Premiership has seen no salvation regardless of a performance that gave them a point in their one all game with Real Sportive at the El-Wak Stadium.

Olympics who are now on three points from a possible 24, went down as early as the sixth minutes after Ali Lukman had shot the visitors ahead from a tense goalmouth action.

Lukman towered above his makers to send home a free header from a corner kick that was the visitors' first of their numerous on the afternoon.

With the action getting better and chances evenly split, Olympics managed to pluck home the equalizer in the 23rd minutes through Paa Joe Kuma.

The player had given the scanty and inpatient crowd that patronized the game hope when he displaced goalkeeper John Adjetey from the spot after a Sportive player had handled the ball in the box.

But Sportive almost restored the lead eight minutes on when Shadrack Dodzi's effort missed target by a whisker, with Olympics' goalkeeper Ibrahim Salifu well displaced. Both teams fought in vain to change the result in the second half. 02 Jan 08
