Liberty Professional's key striker Kojo Asamoah scored a spectacular goal in the 89th minute to enable his side beat newly-promoted Kessben F/C 2-1 in their Onetouch Premier League match played at the Anane Boateng Stadium at Abramkese near Kumasi on Wednesday.

The Dansoman-based lads who seemed not disturbed by the massive home support of Kessben, took the lead in the 58th minute when striker Yaw Antwi pounced on a loose ball in the opponents vital area and ran past his marker before delivering a low grounder that beat keeper Yaw Andoh of Kessben.

Kessben raised their game plan and ahead to score their only goal in the 85th minute through a free-kick which was well taken by Baba Iddi after Ransford Obeng was brought down out side the box. The officials and supporters of Liberty who questioned the credibility of the goal trooped onto the pitch to register their disapproval, claiming that the ball did not cross the goal-line to merit a goal.

The incident brought the match to a temporary hold up but the security men managed to calm down tempers for the game to resume with Asamoah proving the saviour for his side.
